Which foods should you buy organic?

Tuesday, September 7, 2021

Fear of pesticides continues to spread. Now we are so paranoid that we look at every food received from the market with suspicion.

The solution is often to prefer organic products. Does everyone have the economic power to take everything organic?

Unfortunately no! I’m going to share with you a list of a group I’ve been following for a long time, as there are so many requests.

In this ranking, EWG (Environmental Working Group) examines the most used fruit and vegetables in terms of pesticides. Then, in the light of the results, he lists the food as dirty 12 and clean 10.

This list will help you in several ways:

“Dirty 12” group of foods by trying to get organic and certainly not be consumed outside the meals you will avoid exposure to pesticides.
“Clean 10” group of foods that are produced by conventional farming methods, even if you take them to your diet by including both reduce the cost of food consumption and outside will not be forced to search.
Before I go on the list, I would like to say a few words about pesticides.

Damages of pesticides

When it comes to pesticides, many people form an innocent picture in mind. I want you to better understand this harmful agent, which is not fully understood because of the word “medicine“.

Pesticide is a kind of poison that naturally exists on plants, reducing chemical yields against insects, parasites and fungi, which reduce yields and degrade the product. How can you expect a chemical that kills living things, such as insects, parasites, and fungi, that doesn’t harm your body?

And that’s not all. Because most pesticides are applied with oil-containing solvents to prevent exposure to rain and other natural conditions. Thus, it penetrates into the food or adheres to the surface so as not to come out with a pessimistic prediction. This is why a simple wash can almost never remove pesticides from the food surface.

I am preparing an article that will tell you how to remove pesticides from foods. I’m gonna release it soon.

How bad is this evil chemical group? Here are some of the diseases that pesticides can cause:

(I’ve listed research-based effects, not Lafa. If we include conspiracy theories, the list will be much longer than you guessed.)

Alzheimer’s,
Asthma,
Cancer,
Diabetes and other endocrine diseases,
Horrible, isn’t it?

12 nutrients with the most pesticides

Strawberry: More than ten different pesticides were found in one third of conventional strawberry products.

Spinach: 97% of organic non-produced spinach residue was found in the pesticide.

Nectarine: 94% of classic agricultural product nectarines used two or more pesticides.

Apples: 90% of apples are in contact with pesticides. Even diphenylamine (a banned pesticide in Europe) was found in apple samples.

Grape: Yes, grape is also a criminal in terms of pesticides. Even the classic agricultural product contains an average of five different pesticide remnants of a grape.

Peach: Non-organic peaches – almost all – contain pesticide residues. It means there’s bad things hiding under those feathers.

Cherry: 30% of cherries containing an average of five different pesticide residues contain a pesticide called iprodion, which is known to cause cancer.

Pears: Due to the nature of the amount of pesticides in the amount of pesticides used in the black list is unfortunately.

Tomato: Turkish cuisine is an indispensable nutrient tomatoes produced by classical agriculture means that on average there are four different pesticide residues.

Celery, potatoes and bell peppers: Potatoes contain much more (in terms of quantity) of pesticides than any other food. Bell peppers and celery are also foods that contain a lot of pesticides.

10 foods containing at least pesticides

Avodako: Another reason that makes you love avocado with its oily structure is that it does not contain pesticides. In this study, only 1% of avocados found pesticides. It is an important plus for him to be peeled and to have a thick shell.

Pineapple: 90% of the pineapple, which is a classic agricultural product, does not contain pesticides even though I do not recommend adding a lot to your diet because it is fruit.

Cabbage: The remaining 14% of the cabbage, whose 86% proved to be completely free of pesticides, contains only one pesticide residue.

Onion: Onion, another master of Turkish cuisine, does not upset us like tomatoes, and only 10% of them have pesticides.

Asparagus: Although expensive, I have an important reason to love asparagus. Only 10% of the samples taken contain pesticides.

Eggplant: Eggplant, which is the main component of low carbohydrate diet, does not contain any pesticides.

Cauliflower: 50% of conventional cauliflowers do not contain pesticide residues.

Broccoli: Broccoli is a close relative of cauliflower in terms of pesticides is quite clean. Only 30% of the samples contain pesticides, the remaining 70% are completely clean.

Kiwi and melon: Although they are quite sugary, they are included in the list and they are popular with 60% and 65% cleaning rate in terms of pesticides.

So what are we gonna do?

We came to you how to use this list. You know, pesticides are everywhere now and reducing exposure is very important. Because the damage caused by the pesticide does not occur in a moment, but as a cumulative life style triggers this accumulation.

So, if you start to use and choose the right foods, you can be protected from pesticides in the long term.

My suggestions are quite simple:

“Dirty 12” group of foods that are included in the organic and never eat outside. Because – almost no restaurant focuses on your organic diet.

If possible, eat foods belonging to the group “Clean 10” as organic, if not conventional agricultural products. Be sure to create a clean group of 10 foods you will consume outside.

The days when you consume pure food!
